Noah - Closing down the lake in Downtown DisneyI was looking through our pictures from last spring break and found a few that are my favorites. My in-laws live outside of Tampa, FL and we vacation there just about every year. Last spring break we went to Ft. Desoto Beach, near St. Pete/Clearwater beaches. It's a really cool old military fort. The boys pretended to be in jail and enjoyed the big canons.
We also went to Disneyworld and Hollywood Studios in Orlando. We had not been to Disney since Noah was 1 year old (he is now 10). Our favorite memory from Disney was actually at Downtown Disney. Last year was when Disney had the year of million dreams giveaway and we were given one of those. We were at Downtown Disney to hit the Lego store and check everything out. The boys had asked several times to go out on the boats on the lake. We put them off, not sure of the cost. As it approached dusk, we wondered over to the dock and noticed they were closing for the evening. One of the nice lifeguard/coast guard guys asked if he could help us. We said the boys were interested in going on the lake. Nice guy says that they are closing but would we like to help them close down the lake. Of course! It was thrilling to be on 2 speedboats going so fast our hair was standing up and jumping waves.
We also went to Daytona beach for the day and we chose the day that it was in the 60's and breezy. Since we only stayed at the beach for about one hour, we stopped at the Daytona Speedway Museum. We went on the track and took pictures with the cars. We are big NASCAR fans as you can see.
It was a week of memories that our boys still talk about.
