Life Marches On

The boys are all back in school and our life just gets busier. David is now a freshmen and loves marching band - he's a band geek! We are excited for him because of his enthusiasm with band. He "High Steps" it all over the house! The bands half time show this year is to Beatles' music. His band is also one of the area's only dancing bands, very fun to watch!

Noah has entered 7th grade and so far, so good. Luckily, we knew his teachers from when David was in 7th grade and that helps. He is also playing soccer this fall.

Ethan is now a big 3rd grader and has 2 teachers. His class is the only class to have 2 teachers, and they are job sharing. Again, we knew the teacher's from when Noah had them and we love them! He continues on with Tae Kwon Do and is now a senior blue belt. He's learning take downs - watch out big brothers!

I continue to play taxi driver for the boys and enjoy it! I've also been cleaning out my parents house to get ready to sell. It's like being in a time warp sometimes! But, we march on with our lives, trusting God the whole way.

Life Goes On

It's been a few months since I have blogged. So much has changed, most of it has been very hard. My mother passed away May 22nd. I knew it was coming, her health had been very poor. But it doesn't make it any easier. Most people tell me that I am so strong, if only they knew. To lose both parents in 7 months has been horrible. To have to tell your children that their grandparents have passed away and hear their anguished cries, is heart breaking.

I can truly say that I have only functioned each day through God. I have learned more about myself than I thought possible. Yes, at times I appear strong, but if I really let the events overtake my thoughts, I would be in bed all the time.

I take it one day at a time, and focus on my husband and kids. And I am so thankful that I walk with God.
