The boys went back to school yesterday from spring break. Noah came home with a lot of homework, as he usually does. This time, there was a packet that he has to complete by Friday to prepare for state testing.
I am all for making sure the kids know the curriculum and getting good scores, but his teacher seemed a bit out of line to me with this packet. She didn't have enough packets for all the students and told them to complete it as quickly as possible so others could use the packet. Yet, it is not due until Friday. Doesn't make sense to me. He spent 2 hours working on it last night and will be working more on it today.
I would have rather he worked on it over Spring Break instead of adding it to his already full homework load.

Isnt that one of lifes great lessons though!! Incompetance on someone elses part equates to an emergency on our part. At least he got the packet now and isnt getting the short end of the stick later.
Poor kid! I'm glad you got it first instead of on Friday.
